Revisited: I wanted to share this because I have a different view on balancing work and health now than in early 2016! I re-gained my health January -May 2015, re-committing myself to my training and staying active. In recent years, I’ve focused on long-lasting habit formation in a way that will prevent burnout, unlike the “gut it out” mentality I had back then.

#mydayinsteps My career in accounting doesn’t exactly keep me active during the day. I leave work at 7PM every day with under 2,000 steps and work out til midnight to make up for it. And I wouldn’t have it any other way – with all the studies on the health consequences of those sitting all day there’s no way I’ll give in to that lifestyle.
